Floka theater

It is located at a distance three kilometres from the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia, in the municipal district of Floka. It is a gorgeous theatre, in a verdant hill with cypresses and olives with breathtaking views and perfect natural acoustics. With 2 parts (19 rows down, and 7 rows of the upper), the last stand is at a distance of 10.5 metres from the theatre's orchestra. It is a new theatre with 3,700 seats like the ancient theatre of Epidaurus. The seats and the rows are made of stone, not marble, as in the ancient theatres. This theatre is open and hosts many plays, concerts and other cultural events in summer.

Olympia Land Winery

There is no better way to learn about the production of greek wine than to follow a trip which passes through the vineyards, continue into the cellars, informed about the local delicacies and you will have the chance to taste wines of Ilia. The history of the vineyard of the estate begins in 1985 with the revival of 15 acres of a family vineyard situated in Koskina (Ancient Olympia).The family Liarommati get used to make wine with the traditional way, such as pressing the grapes with the feet.


The Foloi oak forest is located in the municipal unit Foloi, Elis, 20 km far from Ancient Olympia. The Foloi oak forest is situated at an altitude of 688m, on the plateau of the Foloi Mountain. It is an ecosystem unique in the Balkan peninsula and consists of a territory of 9,900 acres, which is almost entirely covered by deciduous oaks that form a dense forest area.
The Foloi oak forest was known to Ancient Greeks, because of its proximity to many of their settlements in the Elis region. The mysterious beauty of the forest inspired them to believe that it was a habitat of Centaurs and fairies.

Kyllini port and Killini baths

The Thermal Springs of Kyllinis are a region of infinite beauty. They are situated 9 km away from Kyllini and there is a wooded area occasionally interrupted by big pieces of cultivable land. As one approaches the Kyllini Baths the forest is getting thicker, extending all the way to the sandy beach. The Kyllini Baths have been renowned since the ancient times for their hot springs, the waters of which, as their fumes and mud, cure the arthritis, asthma and skin diseases. There are ruins of installations of Roman baths. One interpretation of the name is that the word Lintzi meant “bath” in Latin.

Neda river

The Neda (Greek: Νέδα) is a river in the western Peloponnese in Greece.
It is unique in the sense that it is the only river in Greece with a feminine name
The river begins on the southern slope of Mount Lykaion, near the village of Neda in northern Messenia.
It flows to the west through a varied landscape of barren rock and forests.

Skafidia monastery

The Holy monastery of Skafidia is located 10 klm from Pyrgos and near the blue waters of Ionion sea.It took it’s name after The Holy Mary of Skafidia and it was built in 10th century A.D.You can also see “treasures” as Holy Vessels ,Vestments, reliquary and a library of handwritten books among them you can see how the Monastery helped in the Greek revolution of 1821.Nowadays the Monastery consists of 4 nuns
